A brisk spring kicked off the season, with a series of early frosts where 6 out of 8 nights needed the overhead sprinklers on to protect the new buds. A classic warm Central Otago summer followed and a cooler autumn meant the end of the season seemed long while we waited patiently for the ideal ripeness in the fruit. The result was worth the wait...a mouth watering wine.
